CRPF ASI dies of cardiac arrest in Kulgam

Kulgam, July 15: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Assistant Sub-Inspector, died after suffering a cardiac arrest in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Wednesday morning, officials said.

Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the ASI, posted with the 18th Battalion of the CRPF in Kulgam, suffered a fall while on duty.

He was shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag, where doctors declared him dead on arrival and said he had suffered a cardiac arrest. He was later identified as Jai Prakash, a resident of Haryana.

Meanwhile, officials said that further proceedings have been initiated.(KNO)
