
Rajouri, June 26,: Security forces on Friday continued the ongoing anti-militancy operation in the dense forests of Dorimal in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district, with Operation Sheruwali entering its 35th day.
The multi-agency operation, involving the Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police, has been underway in the forested terrain following intelligence inputs about the presence of suspected militants in the area.
Officials said search operations are continuing in and around the Dorimal forests, with security personnel carrying out extensive combing operations to prevent the movement of militants and sanitise the area.
The operation has been conducted under heightened security measures, with troops maintaining a strong presence in the region as searches continue across difficult and densely forested terrain.
Officials have not reported any fresh contact with militants during the latest phase of the operation. However, security forces have maintained that the search will continue until the entire area is thoroughly sanitised.(KNT)
