BJP Removes Nine Anantnag Leaders Over ‘Unauthorized’ Tiranga Rally

Anantnag, August 7: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has initiated disciplinary action against nine of its office bearers in Anantnag district for allegedly organizing and participating in an ‘unauthorized Tiranga Rally’ without the approval of either the party or the district administration.
In an office order issued by BJP District President Anantnag, Rakesh Koul, the party said the rally was held on August 5 at Housing Colony Khanabal without the requisite permission from the administration or authorization from the BJP district unit.
The party also took serious note of alleged derogatory slogans raised during the rally, describing them as contrary to the BJP’s values, discipline and principles.
Following consultations with senior party functionaries, including BJP General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul, State General Secretary (Organization) Lal Mutha, State Spokesperson and District Incharge Altaf Thakur and District President Rakesh Koul, the BJP ordered strict disciplinary proceedings against those found responsible.
The leaders removed from all party posts and whose primary membership has been suspended with immediate effect are Nisar Ahmad Bhat of wangam,Shangus, Khursheed Ahmad  Sofi of Hassanpora Bijbehara, Aabida Rafiq of Achabal, Irshad Ahmad Malik of Gopalpora Mattan,  Mohammad Maqbool Ganie of Achabal, Waheed Ahmad Itoo of Hassannoor Ashmuqam, Nisar Ahmad Hakeem of Dehwatoo Pahalgam, Feroz Ahmad Hajam of Kherchi Larnoo and Sabroza Akhtar of Tajiwara Anantnag.
The order also clarified that Alveer Ahmad Dar of Batengoo Anantnag and Fancy Akhter of Hangulund Kokernag are not associated with the BJP District Unit Anantnag in any capacity and do not hold any organizational position in the party.
The BJP said disciplinary proceedings against those involved would continue until the inquiry is completed.
