Kupwara, July 17,: The Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD), Kupwara, has placed a Panchayat Secretary under suspension pending an inquiry into alleged discrepancies in the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G).
According to an official order issued by the Office of the Assistant Commissioner Development, Danish Hanif Lone, Panchayat Secretary of Magam-C, has been suspended with immediate effect and attached to the office of the Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Kupwara, pending completion of the inquiry.
The order states that the action has been taken following allegations of discrepancies under the PMAY-G scheme.
To probe the allegations, the authorities have constituted a two-member inquiry committee under the chairmanship of the Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Kupwara.
The committee comprises the Block Development Officer, Headquarters Kupwara, and Abdul Rashid Kumar, Junior Assistant in the Office of the Assistant Commissioner Development, Kupwara.
The committee has been directed to conduct an in-depth inquiry into the allegations and submit its report within 15 days.
The suspension order, issued by the Assistant Commissioner Development, Kupwara, came into effect immediately. [KNT]
