62 of 65 AMRUT schemes under execution in J&K: Govt informs House

Srinagar: The government on Friday informed the House that 65 Water Supply Schemes have been sanctioned for the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir under AMRUT 2.0, including one scheme for the Sopore constituency.

In response to a query by MLA Irshad Rasool Kar, the Chief Minister, who is also the Minister in charge, told the House, as per the news agency —Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that 62 of the sanctioned schemes are currently at various stages of execution.

The minister further informed that no scheme has been completed or made functional so far, adding that the technical evaluation has been completed for the Water Supply Scheme Sopore and Water Supply Scheme Udhampur Part I.

The Chief Minister also informed that Water Supply Scheme Udhampur Part II and Pokhribal Part II are at the evaluation stage, while the development of the AMRUT Model Pocket 24×7 has been re-tendered.—(KNO)
