
Jammu, Feb 12,: Satish Sharma, who holds multiple ministerial portfolios apologized in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly for his conduct towards BJP legislator Sham Lal Sharma and Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma.
Speaking on the floor of the House during the ongoing session, Satish Sharma said he was frustrated at the time of the incident and acknowledged that his behaviour was not appropriate. He expressed regret over his remarks and extended an apology to Sham Lal Sharma, whom he referred to as his uncle, and to Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma.
The MLA said that maintaining decorum in the Assembly is essential and that he did not intend to cause offence. He stated that his conduct did not reflect the standards expected from a public representative and assured the House that such an incident would not be repeated.
The apology came amid discussions in the Assembly following exchanges between members during earlier proceedings. [KNT]
