Baramulla: A man was killed and another injured in a road accident in Pattan area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday, officials said.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that a collision took place between a truck and a Maruti Eeco at Hyderbeigh Pattan, resulting in the death of one person and injuries to another.
He said both were shifted to a nearby hospital and later referred to JVC Srinagar for specialized treatment, where Rayees Ahmad Najar, son of Ghulam Nabi Najar, a resident of Hygam, succumbed to his injuries, while Javid Ahmad Najar sustained serious injuries in the mishap.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident.—(KNO)
