Baramulla, Jan 24,: A driver was found dead near the Palhallan area of Pattan in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, officials said.
Police from Police Post Palhallan rushed to the spot immediately after receiving information and took cognizance of the incident. Initial proceedings were carried out at the site, following which legal formalities were initiated to determine the circumstances leading to the death.
The body was subsequently shifted to Government Hospital Pattan for medico-legal procedures, officials said, adding that further action would follow based on medical and investigative findings.
The deceased has been identified as Kallu Ram, son of Bishan Das, a resident of Hira Nagar area of Jammu.
Police said investigations are underway and all possible angles are being examined to ascertain the cause of death. [KNT]
