Suspected object found along roadside in Tappar Pattan, police rush to spot, road sealed

Srinagar, Jan 20,: A suspected object was detected along a roadside in the Tappar Pattan area of Baramulla on Tuesday, prompting security forces to immediately cordon off the location as a precautionary measure.

Officials said the object was noticed near the roadside in the Tappar Pattan belt, following which police and other security agencies rushed to the spot. The area was swiftly sealed, and movement of civilians was restricted to ensure safety.

A bomb disposal squad was also summoned to examine the object and assess any potential threat. Authorities said standard operating procedures are being followed, and no decision will be taken until the object is thoroughly inspected.

Locals have been advised to stay away from the cordoned area and cooperate with security personnel until the situation is cleared. [KNT]
