Balloon With PIA Logo Found In Kachriyal Border Area Of Akhnoor

Jammu, Jan 19: A toy balloon bearing the logo of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) was found in an open field in the border area of Kachriyal, Pallanwala in Akhnoor tehsil of Jammu district on Monday morning, officials said.

A police official told GNS that local residents noticed the balloon and immediately informed the police. Acting on the information, police reached the spot and secured the item.

The official said that a preliminary inspection and verification revealed nothing suspicious. “No explosive, hazardous, or sensitive material was found, and no threat was detected.” The balloon has been assessed as a harmless, non-sensitive item and has been taken into police custody for routine verification, the official added.

Police have advised the public not to panic, stating that there was no cause for concern. (GNS)
