MSME Launches 6-Week Entrepreneurship & Skill Development Program in Srinagar to Empower Youth in EV and Clean Energy Sector

Srinagar,: MSME Technology Development Centre – Process and Product Development Centre (PPDC), Agra, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, through its Extension Centre Srinagar, has announced the launch of a 6 Weeks Entrepreneurship & Skill Development Program (ESDP) aimed at empowering youth, students, and aspiring entrepreneurs across the region.

The program is sponsored by the Office of the Development Commissioner (MSME), New Delhi, and will be implemented in collaboration with Elvania Energies 369 Pvt. Ltd., Srinagar. Designed strictly as per MSME guidelines, the initiative focuses on entrepreneurship development, emerging technologies, innovation, EV and energy systems, battery technology, solar and sustainable energy, product development, and awareness of the MSME ecosystem.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Aarif Shafi Khanyari, Founder of Elvania Energies 369 Pvt. Ltd., said:

“This program is a significant step towards transforming job seekers into job creators. By combining MSME’s structured framework with industry-driven learning in EV, battery, and clean energy technologies, we aim to build a new generation of entrepreneurs who can contribute meaningfully to India’s sustainable growth and Atmanirbhar Bharat vision.”

Highlighting the role of MSME in skill development, Dr Ashwin, Assistant Director, MSME Technology Development Centre, stated:

“Entrepreneurship and skill development are core pillars of MSME’s mandate. Through this 6-week ESDP, participants will receive practical exposure, mentorship, and awareness of government schemes, enabling them to start enterprises, enhance employability, and integrate with the MSME ecosystem effectively.”

The program will feature structured classroom sessions by MSME-certified and industry experts, hands-on project-based learning, start-up mentorship, and detailed orientation on government schemes, subsidies, and MSME registrations. Successful participants will receive certification under MSME norms.

Institutions participating in the program will facilitate candidate mobilization and academic coordination, while the entire technical curriculum, trainers, execution, and certification will be managed by MSME PPDC Agra – Extension Centre Srinagar, in collaboration with Elvania Energies 369 Pvt. Ltd.

The initiative is expected to play a crucial role in strengthening entrepreneurship, innovation, and clean energy adoption among youth in Jammu & Kashmir and beyond.
