JCO dies of gunshot wound while on duty in Samba, probe launched

Jammu:A Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) of Army lost his life after sustaining a gunshot wound while on duty in Samba district. The incident occurred during early morning hours today, sources said.

Sources told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that he was immediately evacuated to a medical facility for treatment, but he succumbed to his injuries.

They ruled out any terror angle in the incident at this stage, saying the matter is under thorough investigation, while further details will be shared as facts emerge and the inquiry progresses—(KNO)
