Police, CRPF Carry Out Anti-Sabotage Checks Using Sniffer Dogs in Srinagar

Srinagar, Dec 22,: Srinagar Police on Monday carried out a surprise search operation in Maharaja Bazar and adjoining localities of Srinagar as part of a security inspection in the busy commercial zone. The operation was supported by CRPF personnel and included anti-sabotage checks with sniffer dogs.

Officials said the teams searched several shops, shopping complexes and storage spaces where merchandise is usually kept. Identity cards of shopkeepers and pedestrians were also checked as part of routine verification.

Police teams moved through inner lanes and commercial clusters of the market, inspecting goods placed in stores and basements to ensure nothing suspicious was concealed.
