CRPF jawan dies of cardiac arrest at Anantnag Railway Station

Anantnag: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan died of a suspected cardiac arrest at Anantnag Railway Station during the intervening night, officials said.

Officials told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that the jawan, identified as Lakhwinder Singh (55), son of Ajaib Singh and a resident of Punjab, was posted with 90 Battalion, E Company, at Anantnag Railway Station. He reportedly lost consciousness while on duty and was immediately shifted to Government Medical College (GMC), Anantnag, for treatment.

However, doctors at the hospital declared him brought dead. Preliminary reports indicated that the cause of death was a cardiac arrest.

Meanwhile, legal formalities have been initiated in the matter—(KNO)
