Sopore Police Crack Theft Case in 24 Hours

Sopore, Dec 10,: Sopore Police solved a theft case within 24 hours of its registration and arrested the accused following swift investigation on Wednesday. The case had been filed at Police Station Sopore by Syed Salah Ud Din, Manager of Shadowfax Logistics at Ashpeer, who reported the theft of mobile phones from the facility. An FIR under relevant provisions was registered and inquiries began immediately.

Police examined several individuals linked with the premises. During the process, a suspect identified as Afaq Ahmad Ahanger, son of Suna Ullah Ahanger of Amberpora Tarzoo Sopore, was called for questioning. He confessed to committing the theft.

Based on his disclosure, police recovered stolen property valued at nearly ₹50,000. Officers said further investigation is ongoing to ascertain whether more individuals were involved.

The police reiterated their commitment to prompt action and safeguarding public property.
