
Srinagar, Dec 9,: The National Investigation Agency has intensified its probe into the Delhi blast case by bringing two key accused from Delhi to Jammu and Kashmir while simultaneously carrying out raids at multiple locations in south Kashmir on Tuesday, official sources said.
According to sources familiar with the investigation, the accused including, Dr Aadil Ahmed were brought to Kashmir under tight security as part of the agency’s effort to reconstruct the chain of events and examine alleged links and logistical support networks connected to the blast case. The NIA teams conducted coordinated searches at several premises across south Kashmir districts, focusing on individuals believed to have possible connections with the accused.
Officials said the raids were carried out after obtaining necessary legal permissions and were aimed at gathering documentary evidence and digital material that could aid the ongoing investigation. Sources indicated that electronic devices and other materials were seized during the searches, though the agency has not made an official disclosure on the recoveries.
Locals in the areas where searches were conducted reported the presence of NIA teams since early morning, with security arrangements tightened during the operation.
The NIA has maintained that the investigation is ongoing and declined to comment on specific details at this stage. [KNT]
