Elvania Energies & MSME Srinagar Sign Historic MoU to Launch J&K’s First Technology and Energy Research Centre

SRINAGAR,: In a groundbreaking development for the Union Territory, Elvania Energies 369 Pvt. Ltd. and the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Srinagar, have signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish Jammu & Kashmir’s first Technology and Energy Research Centre (TERC).

The agreement was formalized in Srinagar in the presence of senior officials, including Mr. Ajaz Hussain, Faculty – Automation, IoT & Robotics, and Nodal Officer (AESDP), representing the MSME Department. This collaboration is being hailed as a transformative public–private initiative aimed at reshaping the region’s technological and renewable energy landscape.

A First-of-Its-Kind Innovation Hub for J&K

The upcoming TERC will serve as a state-of-the-art centre dedicated to advanced research, skill development, and technology-driven entrepreneurship. Key focus areas include:

  • Renewable energy research

  • IoT, AI, robotics, and automation

  • Engineering innovation and prototyping

  • Agriculture-oriented clean energy technologies

  • Skill development programs for youth and startups

The centre aims to bridge the critical gap between industry, academia, innovators, and government, offering new opportunities for students, entrepreneurs, farmers, and the engineering community.

Roles and Responsibilities

Under the partnership:

MSME Department Srinagar will contribute:

  • Logistical and coordination support

  • Training venues and infrastructure

  • Publicity and promotion

  • Financial backing through MSME schemes

Elvania Energies 369 Pvt. Ltd. will lead:

  • Establishment and management of high-tech labs

  • R&D in renewable energy and smart technologies

  • Certified training and hands-on skill programs

  • Technology transfer, incubation, and commercialization

  • Reporting and policy-aligned documentation

Driving Sustainable and Smart Growth in Kashmir

The proposed TERC will also conduct collaborative research projects, innovation summits, hackathons, patent facilitation programs, and startup incubation—aligning with India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat mission and J&K’s vision for sustainable development.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Aarif Shafi Khanyari, Founder & CEO of Elvania Energies 369 Pvt. Ltd., expressed his enthusiasm:
