New Delhi, Nov 20,: The National Investigation Agency on Thursday announced the arrest of four more prime accused in the blast that took place outside the Red Fort in Delhi on 10 November, taking the total number of arrests in the case to six. The accused were apprehended in Srinagar on the basis of production orders issued by the District Sessions Judge at Patiala House Court.
According to the anti terror agency, the arrested individuals have been identified as Dr Muzammil Shakeel Ganai of Pulwama, Dr Adeel Ahmed Rather of Anantnag, Dr Shaheen Saeed of Lucknow and Mufti Irfan Ahmad Wagay of Shopian. Investigators said all four had played significant roles in the attack that claimed multiple lives and caused injuries to several others.
NIA stated that the arrests mark a major step in uncovering the network behind the explosion. Earlier, the agency had arrested two other accused. They include Amir Rashid Ali, in whose name the vehicle used in the blast was registered, and Jasir Bilal Wani known as Danish, who allegedly provided technical support to the militant involved in the bombing. Both remain under sustained interrogation as part of the ongoing investigation registered under case RC 21 of 2025.
The blast case was handed over to NIA shortly after the incident by the Union Home Ministry. The agency said it is coordinating with multiple state police forces to identify, track and arrest every individual connected to what it described as a wider militant module responsible for the attack.
