J&K bureau chief of The Week, Tariq Bhat, dies of cardiac arrest

 

Srinagar, Nov 04: Senior Journalist and J&K Bureau Head of The Week, Tariq Ahmad Bhat died of cardiac arrest on Tuesday morning at his home in Srinagar.

One of the family members told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that Bhat complained of chest pain today morning and he was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.

He said that funeral prayer of Bhat will be held at 11:30 am in the Chota Bazar locality of Kani Kadal.

Editor-in-Chief of Asian Mail ,Rashid Rahil and all Members of Asian Mail expressed grief and sorrow over his demise and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.

Meanwhile, Editor-in-Chief of KNO and Kashmir Thunder, Nasir Azam expressed grief and sorrow over his demise and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.

The KNO management also expressed solidarity with the deceased’s family, especially with senior journalist Abid Bashir Wani, who is a nephew of the deceased.
