New School Timings Announced for Kashmir Division from November 1

Srinagar:The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has announced a change in school timings across the Kashmir Division, effective from November 1, 2025. The revised schedule applies to both government and recognized private schools.

According to Order No. 309-DSEK of 2025, dated October 30, 2025, schools located within the Srinagar Municipal limits will operate from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, while schools situated outside the municipal limits of Srinagar District and in other areas of the Kashmir Province will function from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm.

The Directorate has directed all educational institutions to strictly adhere to the new timings without any deviation. The order has been circulated to all Deputy Commissioners, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, and relevant departments for strict compliance and implementation.

The directive, signed by the Director General of School Education Kashmir, also instructs the Department of Information to ensure wide publicity through print and electronic media.

The change in timing comes as part of the seasonal adjustment of school hours ahead of the winter months. [KNT]
