Jammu: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Devyani Rana on Saturday filed her nomination papers for the upcoming Nagrota Assembly by-election in Jammu and Kashmir, scheduled to be held on November 11, 2025.

Rana, accompanied by senior BJP leaders and thousands of supporters, submitted her nomination before the returning officer in Jammu.

Speaking to reporters, Rana, per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said she felt honoured to be contesting from Nagrota and expressed confidence that the people of the constituency would extend the same support and blessings to her as they had given to her late father, Devender Singh Rana.

She said her father’s greatest legacy was his hard work, honesty, and deep respect for everyone. “Rana Sahab treated everyone with love and dignity. These are the values I wish to carry forward,” she added.
