3 killed in head-on collision between auto-rickshaw and bus in Katra

Katra: At least three persons were killed and tow other injured after a head-on collision between an auto-rickshaw and a bus in Serli village near Katra on Tuesday morning.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the accident took place on a road connecting the helipad to Katra, a key route for pilgrims visiting the revered Mata Vaishno Devi shrine.

He said that the auto-rickshaw, carrying devotees, collided with a bus that was coming from the opposite direction. “In the inicident the auto-rickshaw driver and two passengers died on spot, while two others were injured,” he said.

The injured have been rushed to a nearby medical facility for treatment, he said—(KNO)
