Tenkipora bridge road outside DC office Srinagar turns into parking zone

Srinagar, Sep 15,: The road stretch near Tenkipora bridge outside the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Srinagar has virtually turned into a parking zone, causing severe inconvenience to pedestrians and commuters.

Locals said that vehicles, including those belonging to DC office employees, are routinely parked on both sides of the road, leaving little space for traffic to move smoothly.

“It has become very difficult to pass through this road as it remains occupied by parked cars, which leads to frequent traffic jams,” they said.

An employee of the DC office admitted that the problem stems from inadequate parking facilities within the premises.

“There is a lack of parking space inside the office, and we are forced to park our vehicles on the road,” the employee confirmed.

Locals and daily commuters have urged the authorities to take immediate steps to regulate parking in the area and provide an alternative space for official and private vehicles. [KNT]
