Bandipora youth’s body recovered from Wular Lake after a week

Bandipora, Sep 12: The body of a youth, who had drowned in the Jhelum river in Banyari village of Bandipora district a week ago, was recovered today morning from the Wular Lake near Lankreshpora area.

An official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that Amir Ahmad Dar along with another individual had drowned when their boat capsized in the Jhelum while extracting sand.

He said while another individual was rescued immediately, Amir went missing. “His body was recovered today morning after a week. The body was handed over to the family members for last rites after medico-legal formalities,” he said—(KNO)
