Salaries in Bandipora Govt offices to be linked with biometric attendance

Bandipora:  The Deputy Commissioner Bandipora has ordered that salaries of all government employees in the district will be released only on the basis of biometric attendance.

According to the order issued by Additional Deputy Commissioner Zaffar Hussain Shawl, the decision applies to all officers and officials working in government offices across Bandipora District. The directive mandates strict adherence by all District and Sectoral Officers as well as Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs).

The order also instructs the District Treasury Officer, Bandipora, and Treasury Officers of Sumbal and Gurez to ensure that salaries are disbursed only after verifying biometric attendance records.

Authorities have stressed that the move aims to improve punctuality, discipline, and efficiency in government offices, and any deviation from the biometric system will not be entertained. [KNT]
