Traffic Police Issue Advisory for August 12 Tiranga Rally in Srinagar

Srinagar: The Srinagar Traffic Police has issued an advisory for August 12 in view of a Tiranga Rally from SKICC to the Botanical Garden, which will see the participation of several VIPs and dignitaries.

To ensure smooth movement and avoid congestion, designated parking areas have been earmarked. Official vehicles will park at the Royal Spring Golf Course, while participants are advised to use parking at the Botanical Garden and Barista near Lalit Ghat.

Traffic movement on Boulevard Road from Lalit Ghat to Kralsangri will remain restricted between 5 a.m. and 10 a.m. Motorists traveling towards Nishat, Shalimar, and Harwan have been advised to take alternate routes via Dalgate, Rainawari, and Hazratbal instead of Boulevard Road.

Similarly, those heading from Harwan, Shalimar, and Nishat to Lal Chowk are advised to use the Foreshore–Hazratbal route. Traffic from Gulab Bagh, Zakoora, Naseembagh, and Habak should adopt the Habak Dargah–Khanyar route.

Authorities have urged participants to park only in designated areas and avoid roadside parking. Wrongly parked vehicles will be towed. Emergency vehicles will be permitted to take the shortest possible route. For assistance, citizens may contact Traffic Police Control Room, No. 103. [KNT]
