LG Manoj Sinha Hails Army’s Role in Cultural Revival; 20,000 Youth Set World Record at ‘Kashur Riwaaj’

Baramulla: In a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter), Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha lauded the Indian Army for its unwavering commitment not just to national security but also to preserving the cultural fabric of Jammu & Kashmir.

“I salute the dedication & commitment of our Army. They are not only safeguarding the nation’s unity & integrity but also actively serving as a custodian of this region’s vibrant cultural heritage and consistently striving to fulfil the dreams and aspirations of our youth,” LG Sinha wrote.

He made the remarks after attending Kashur Riwaaj, a joint initiative by the Indian Army and the District Administration of Baramulla. The event witnessed a historic participation of 20,000 youth, who came together for performances in Ladishah — a traditional Kashmiri folk art — and calligraphy, setting a new world record.

Terming the initiative as “commendable,” LG Sinha congratulated the youth of Baramulla for scripting history and showcasing the rich cultural legacy of Kashmir on a global platform.
