Mehbooba Mufti Expresses Gratitude to SKIMS for Mother’s Care “Incredible Dedication Despite Limited Resources”

Srinagar: Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) President Mehbooba Mufti has publicly expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) for the care and treatment provided to her mother during a recent illness.

Taking to social media, Mehbooba Mufti shared that her mother had been discharged from the hospital two days ago, bringing immense relief to the family. She praised the hospital staff for their professionalism and compassion during what she described as “difficult times.”

“I’m deeply grateful to Dr. Ashraf, Dr. Ajaz, and all the doctors, nurses, and staff at SKIMS who took such good care of her,” Mufti wrote on X (formerly Twitter). She acknowledged the challenges faced by the premier tertiary-care institute, noting that “even with limited resources and staff, SKIMS continues to serve people with incredible dedication and compassion.”

She concluded her message with prayers for the healthcare workers, stating, “May Allah SWT bless them all.”

SKIMS, located in Soura, Srinagar, is the largest medical institute in the region and often the first choice for patients requiring specialized treatment. [KNT]
