Operation Sindoor achieved 100% success in 22 minutes: PM Modi

Srinagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said that India’s growing defence strength, especially its homegrown military capabilities, has garnered global attention and admiration.

Speaking to the media ahead of the Monsoon Session of Parliament, the Prime Minister said that the world is increasingly drawn to the power of Made-in-India weapons and the country’s renewed self-confidence in its fight against terrorism and Naxalism.

“Under Operation Sindoor, the houses of the masters of terrorists were razed to the ground within 22 minutes. The world has been very attracted to this new form of Made in India military power. These days, whenever I meet people of the world, the world’s attraction towards the Made in India weapons being made by India is increasing,” Modi said.

He termed the current Monsoon Session of Parliament as a “celebration of victory”, referring to the success of Operation Sindoor, India’s progress in counter-Naxal operations, and its achievements in the global economy and space exploration.

“The whole world has seen the strength of India’s military power. The target set by the Indian Army in Operation Sindoor was achieved 100%. Our security forces, with new self-confidence and resolve, are progressing steadily. Many districts are now free of Naxalism. We are proud that the Indian Constitution is emerging victorious against it. The red corridors are now turning into green growth zones,” the Prime Minister added.

On India’s space milestones, Modi called the country’s upcoming flag hoisting at the International Space Station a proud moment. “India’s flag being hoisted at the International Space Station is a moment of pride for every Indian. This Parliament session will glorify that feat with one voice. It will serve as an inspiration for our future missions,” he said.

Touching on economic achievements, Modi said that since 2014, India has emerged from the list of ‘Fragile Five’ to one of the top-performing economies globally. “Before 2014, we were ranked 10th in the global economy. Today, we are fast moving towards becoming the third-largest economy in the world,” he said.

He also highlighted how economic policies had helped lift millions out of poverty. “There was a time in the country before 2014 when the inflation rate was in double digits. Today, with the rate dropping to around two per cent, it has become a relief and convenience in the lives of common people.(KNS)
