Kavinder Gupta Sworn in as new Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh

Leh: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Kavinder Gupta, officially took oath as the new Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Ladakh on Friday.

News agency KINS reported that the oath of office was administered by Justice Arun Palli, Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, in a solemn ceremony held at Raj Niwas, Ladakh.

The event was attended by key dignitaries including the Chief Executive Councillors of LAHDC Kargil and LAHDC Leh, the Member of Parliament from Ladakh, Chief Secretary of Ladakh, all Administrative Secretaries, and senior officials.

Gupta’s appointment as Lieutenant Governor was announced earlier this week by the President of India.(KINS)
