No Suspension of Amarnath Yatra, Confirms Baltal Nodal Officer

Srinagar: Contrary to reports of suspension, the annual Amarnath Yatra is continuing without disruption despite intermittent rainfall in parts of Kashmir.

Officials have confirmed that the pilgrimage remains unaffected and yatris are proceeding along the designated routes under full security and medical supervision.

Speaking to Kashmir News Trust, the Nodal Officer for Baltal clarified, “The Amarnath Yatra is going on smoothly amid rains. There has been no halt or suspension of the pilgrimage.” He added that necessary precautions have been put in place to ensure the safety of devotees as they make their journey to the sacred cave shrine.

Authorities continue to monitor the weather situation closely and have urged pilgrims to cooperate with the on-ground staff, adhere to advisories, and remain cautious during the trek. So far, the pilgrimage is progressing peacefully from both the Baltal and Pahalgam routes. [KNT]
