DGP Nalin Prabhat Reviews Ongoing Anti-Militancy Operation in Kishtwar

Kishtwar, May 23,: Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police (DGP) Nalin Prabhat visited the Kishtwar district to review the ongoing anti-militancy operation in the area, where a soldier was killed during a fierce exchange of fire. Four militants are still believed to be hiding in the dense forested area.

Accompanied by Inspector General of Police (Jammu Zone) Bhim Sen Tuti and Deputy Inspector General Shridhar Patil, the DGP assessed the situation on the ground and held strategy discussions with senior officers from the police, army, and paramilitary forces involved in the operation.

Top officers, including the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kishtwar, are stationed at the site to oversee the operation and ensure close coordination between various security agencies in the challenging terrain.

DGP Prabhat interacted with troops on the ground, praised their dedication, and encouraged them to maintain their momentum with determination. He emphasized the need for a relentless pursuit of militants and directed that all those involved in militant activities be brought to justice.

Reaffirming the commitment of the Jammu and Kashmir Police to lasting peace in the region, the DGP commended the synergy among the various forces engaged in the operation and reiterated that sustained, focused counter-militancy efforts would continue to ensure the safety and stability of the Union Territory.
