India-Pakistan Tensions: Pak troops resorts to unprovoked firing along LoC in 8 sectors across J-K, Indian Army retaliates

The firing took place from Pakistani posts opposite Kupwara, Baramulla, Poonch, Rajouri, Mendhar, Naushera, Sunderbani, and Akhnoor. This marks another deliberate breach of the ceasefire agreement by Pakistan.

The Indian Army responded in a proportionate and controlled manner, effectively silencing the hostile fire while ensuring the safety of civilians and infrastructure on the Indian side.

No casualties have been reported so far. Security forces continue to maintain a high level of alertness across the affected areas.

Defence officials condemned the repeated violations and reaffirmed India’s resolve to safeguard its borders and respond strongly to any provocation.
