No ifs or buts, we support Govt, says Karra,’Never spoke about dialogue with Pak’

Srinagar, Apr 28: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President Tariq Hamid Karra Monday said that he strongly condemned the idea of dialogue between India & Pakistan and added that the Congress party fully supports any action of the central government against Pakistan.

Speaking to media persons, he said that the Congress had condemned the issue in the strongest terms and that there were no ifs or buts in their stand.

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), he added that whatever Rahul Gandhi had stated was supported by the entire nation and the Congress stood firmly with the government.

Karra said that his remarks were being misinterpreted and that he had only reiterated what Rahul Gandhi had stated.

He added that wars had always brought devastation to both India and Pakistan and clarified that he had not spoken about dialogue.

He further said that the Congress party fully supports whatever action the Government of India considers appropriate and that they stand united on the issue—(KNO)
