Srinagar, April 23: A shutdown is being observed across Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday in protest against the terrorist attack in the Baisaran area of Pahalgam in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

The shutdown has been called by the business fraternity, private school associations, religious bodies, and various political parties as a form of protest and mourning.

In Jammu as well, counterparts have announced a strike against the killings.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Srinagar yesterday evening to assess the security situation across Jammu and Kashmir following the attack. He is scheduled to visit Pahalgam today, review the security arrangements, and visit GMC Anantnag to meet the injured tourists. (GNS)
