Vibrant Sports Fest Ignites Sports Spirit Across Srinagar

Srinagar: The Department of Youth Services & Sports J&K (YSS) has set the stage for a thrilling season of camaraderie and athleticism as intra-school sports competitions kicked off on Wednesday, energizing all eight sports zones of Srinagar district. Hundreds of students from the Government and private schools are diving into the action, turning playgrounds into hubs of excitement and competitive play.
From spirited track events to team sports, the competitions are designed to celebrate physical fitness while nurturing teamwork and resilience among young participants. “This isn’t just about winning medals—it’s about discovering passion, building confidence, and fostering lifelong healthy habits,” said Director General of Youth Services and Sports J&K Rajinder Singh Tara.
Zone Batamaloo emerged as an early standout, with schools hosting lively opening ceremonies and students showcasing remarkable talent. “Seeing kids from all backgrounds unite through sports is heartwarming. These events are shaping tomorrow’s leaders, both on and off the field,” shared District Youth Services and Sports Officer Srinagar Gh Hassan Lone.
