Three More Parties Cut Ties with Hurriyat, Back Indian Constitution: Amit Shah

Srinagar: Three more political organizations—Jammu Kashmir Islamic Political Party, Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Democratic League, and Kashmir Freedom Front—have disassociated themselves from the Hurriyat Conference.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah hailed the move as a clear indication of growing trust among the people of Jammu and Kashmir in the Constitution of India. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a united and strong Bharat has gained further strength with this development.

With the latest announcement, a total of 11 separatist-aligned groups have now abandoned the Hurriyat fold, expressing their unwavering support for India’s democratic framework.

“This is a powerful demonstration of the people’s commitment to peace, democracy, and development in the region,” Shah said, adding that such steps pave the way for lasting stability and integration of Kashmir with the rest of the country. (KNS)
