Missing Woman’s Body Recovered from Madumati Stream in Bandipora

Bandipora:The body of a woman who had been missing since Sunday has been recovered from the Madumati stream in the Sonarwani area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Tuesday, officials said.

An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that the body was found behind the BSF camp in Sonarwani.

The deceased has been identified as 30-year-old Jani Begum, wife of Nawab Chowan, a resident of Nigeenpora, Athwatoo Bandipora.

According to the official, the woman had gone missing from her home on Sunday, after which her family lodged a missing report at the local police station.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated further investigation. (KNS)
