Samina Shah and Dr. Satish Vimal Take Over Key Roles at All India Radio Srinagar

Srinagar: Senior Program Executive of All India Radio Srinagar, Samina Shah, has assumed charge as the new producer of the renowned current affairs program Shaherbeen. Alongside her, Dr. Satish Vimal has taken over as the new producer of the Pahari and Sheena programs at All India Radio Srinagar.

Their appointments come in the wake of the retirement of veteran Senior Program Executive, Maqsood Ahmad. Ahmad had been associated with Shaherbeen since 1997 and was one of the longest-serving editors and producers of the program.

A recipient of the prestigious State Award, Maqsood Ahmad played a significant role in covering high-profile events during his tenure. Notably, he reported on the historic 2001 Agra Summit, where Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee met with Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf. He also covered various VVIP events in Jammu & Kashmir for All India Radio.

With Samina Shah and Dr. Satish Vimal stepping into their new roles, All India Radio Srinagar looks forward to continued excellence in broadcasting and insightful programming for its listeners. (KNS)
