Cloudy Skies and Rain Expected in J&K on April 3: MET

Srinagar: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has predicted cloudy weather with light rain on April 3 across parts of Jammu and Kashmir, with light snowfall possible in higher reaches of North Kashmir and the Sonamarg-Zojila axis.

“Cloud cover will increase towards the afternoon on April 3, bringing light rain in the plains and snowfall in higher altitudes,” said the MET Centre Srinagar according to KNS correspondent.
“Travelers planning to move through the Sonamarg-Zojila axis should stay updated with the latest traffic advisories,”

From April 4 to 7, the weather is expected to remain dry and stable, providing favorable conditions for travel and daily activities.

On April 8, cloud cover will increase again in the afternoon, with a possibility of light snowfall over higher reaches of North Kashmir and Sonamarg.

Authorities have advised travelers, tourists, and transporters to follow official updates, especially on routes vulnerable to sudden weather changes. Farmers can continue their activities as no significant weather disturbances are expected beyond April 3. (KNS)
