“Light Rain, Thunder expected with strong winds in J&K today” : MeT

Srinagar: The Meteorological Centre in Srinagar has issued a weather advisory for Jammu and Kashmir, predicting a mix of light rain and strong surface winds in the region.

Isolated areas in Kashmir and Jammu Division may experience light rain and thunderstorms, accompanied by strong surface winds reaching 60-70 km/h during the afternoon and late afternoon of March 28th.

Generally dry weather is expected from March 29-31st, with dry conditions forecasted to continue from April 1-6th.

Residents and visitors are advised to take necessary precautions, with travelers, tourists, and transporters urged to follow administrative and traffic advisories.

Farmers can resume farm operations, while the general public is cautioned to stay indoors and avoid boating, Shikara riding, and standing near weak structures and electric wires due to strong surface winds.
