Police Conducts Raid In Jalal Sahib Old Town Baramulla In Connection With Banned Organizations

Srinagar: Continuing its crackdown, police on Thursday conducted a raid in the Jalal Sahib area of Old Town Baramulla, leading to the recovery of Incriminating materials. The raid was carried out based on credible intelligence inputs.

In a handout to GNS, the police said that a police team,led by DySP HQ Baramulla Altaf Ahmed (JKPS) along with SHO Baramulla Risabh Shukla (IPS) and DO Old Town,carried out a search operation at the residence of Irfan Ahmed Kababi,a member of the banned outfit Muslim League,in connection with case FIR No.12/2024 U/S 10,13 UAPA. During the search Incriminating materials like posters and i-cards of Muslim league were seized.

Further investigation is underway to ascertain the source and purpose of these materials.

Baramulla Police remains committed to maintaining law and urged public to co-operate and report any activities that threaten peace and national integrity, reads the statement.(GNS)
