Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Highlights Need for Self-Reformation and Youth Engagement
Srinagar: In continuation of his sermons during the blessed month of Ramzan, Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr. Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq addressed a gathering of faithful at Masjid Al-Farooq in Nowshera Srinagar.
Speaking on the spiritual significance of the last ten days of Ramzan, Mirwaiz emphasized the immense opportunity these days present for sincere repentance, seeking Allah’s mercy, and engaging in self-reformation. He said these final days, especially the odd nights among them, hold great virtue and are a time to turn wholeheartedly towards the Almighty.
He particularly stressed the need for character building among the youth, urging them to embody the values of honesty, humility, and compassion as taught by Islam. He said Ramzan is not just a month of fasting, but a time to internalize the message of the Qur’an and transform one’s conduct in accordance with its guidance.
Mirwaiz called upon the community, especially the younger generation, to make the most of these precious days and nights by strengthening their connection with Allah, engaging in prayer, reflection, and service to others.
