Late Geelani’s Aide Advocate Shafi Reshi Cuts All Ties with APHC (G) and DPM, Reaffirms Allegiance to India

Srinagar : Advocate Mohammad Shafi Reshi, once a close aide of late separatist leader Syed Ali Geelani has publicly announced his complete disassociation from the Jammu & Kashmir Democratic Political Movement (DPM) and the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (G).

In a formal statement, Reshi clarified that he severed all ties with the DPM in 2017 during his tenure as Chairman and has no connection with these organizations or any separatist entity since then.

He criticized the APHC’s ideology, stating that it has failed to address the legitimate aspirations and grievances of the people of Jammu& Kashmir. Reshi emphasized that he is now solely dedicated to his legal profession.

Warning against the unauthorized use of his name in connection with separatist groups, Reshi stated that any such act would invite legal action. He reaffirmed his allegiance to India, declaring himself a bona fide citizen committed to the supremacy of the Indian Constitution. [KNT]
