MLA Hazratbal, Salman Ali Sagar Advocates for Revocation of Ban on Section 5 Fards in Khimber and Chatterhama; Government Assures Action

Srinagar : In a significant development, Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Hazratbal, Salman Ali Sagar, has strongly advocated for the revocation of the ban on Section 5 Fards in the areas of Khimber and Chatterhama, which has been causing immense hardships to the local residents.

Highlighting the plight of the people whose land has been frozen due to the prolonged ban, Mr. Sagar emphasized that the restriction, which dates back to 2015, has deprived landowners of their basic rights and caused severe financial distress to many families. He further stated that despite the submission of the inquiry report by the Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, six months ago, the matter continues to linger without resolution.

Mr. Sagar urged the government to take immediate steps to issue Fards to the legitimate landowners and ensure justice for those who have been suffering due to the inaction of the Revenue Department.

In response to Mr. Sagar’s persistent efforts, the government has extended assurance that the matter will be thoroughly examined and necessary action will be taken to address the grievances of the affected people.

The locals have expressed hope that with the intervention of Mr. Salman Ali Sagar and the government’s assurance, the long-pending issue will be resolved soon.
