 “Jammu & Kashmir to Witness Rain, Snowfall this Week”: MeT

Srinagar: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has predicted rain and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir from March 13 to 15.

According to the forecast, intermittent spells of light to moderate rain/snow are expected at most places during this period. On March 16, intermittent light rain/snow is predicted at a few places in the morning, with improvement in the afternoon.

Thereafter, the weather is expected to remain generally dry from March 17 to 24, with cloudiness on March 19.

The MET Centre has also issued advisories for travelers, tourists, transporters, and farmers. “Travelers, tourists, and transporters are advised to follow administrative and traffic advisories,” it said.

Farmers have been advised to suspend farm operations until March 16. The MeT Centre has also warned people to avoid sloppy and avalanche-prone areas, and be cautious of landslides, mudslides, and shooting stones at vulnerable spots.
