J&K Bank’s mPay Service Down, Customers Face Major Inconvenience

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Bank’s mobile banking application, mPay, is facing a widespread outage, leaving thousands of customers unable to access their accounts or make digital transactions.
The sudden disruption has caused major inconvenience, especially for people who rely on the app for daily financial needs.
Many users took to social media to express their frustration, highlighting the recurring technical issues with the bank’s online services.
“This is the third time in the past few months that mPay has gone down when I needed it the most. I had to send an urgent payment, but now I am stuck with no alternative,” said Akash Ahmad, a businessman from Srinagar.
In the holy month of Ramadan, JK Bank is supposed to give seamless service but unfortunately the service is disappointed, he said.
Another user, Bashir Ahmad from Jammu, shared a similar experience. “I was at a store when my payment failed. It’s embarrassing and frustrating. J&K Bank needs to fix these recurring issues.”
Students and professionals, who depend on mPay for daily transactions, have also been severely impacted. “I had to pay my exam fees online, but the app isn’t working,” complained Aadil Hussain, a university student.
The issue has raised concerns over J&K Bank’s digital infrastructure, with many questioning the bank’s preparedness to handle technical glitches.
As of now, the bank has not issued an official statement regarding the outage. (KNS)
