Government Lal Ded (LD) Hospital celebrates ‘International Women’s Day-2025’

Srinagar: Government Lal Ded (LD) Hospital today enthusiastically celebrated International Women’s Day with great fervor to honor the achievements of women and strengthen the commitment to gender equality.

The theme for 2025, ‘For ALL Women and Girls: Rights, Equality, Empowerment,’ underscores the pressing need to accelerate progress toward gender parity.

The programme was organized under the leadership of Principal/ Dean Government Medical College Srinagar, Prof. (Dr.) Iffat Hassan Shah.

On this special occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Masuma Rizvi, Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, addressed the gathering, applauding the unwavering dedication of the hospital’s female workforce. She recognized their relentless efforts in ensuring high-quality patient care round the clock and reaffirmed the hospital’s commitment to fostering a more dynamic and efficient healthcare environment.

Dr. Muzafar Jan, Medical Superintendent LD Hospital, extended his appreciation to the faculty, paramedical staff, nurses, and administrative personnel for their steadfast dedication and vital contributions to patient care. He assured that the hospital administration is fully committed to providing all necessary technical support to enhance LD Hospital’s reputation as a patient-friendly healthcare institution.

The event was graced by the presence of faculty members, the Deputy Medical Superintendent, Casualty Medical Officers (CMOs), Resident Medical Officers (RMOs), Nursing Supervisors, and Nursing Staff, all of whom reaffirmed their dedication to maintaining the highest standards of healthcare.

This celebration was a tribute to the invaluable contributions of women in healthcare, reinforcing LD Hospital’s mission to create an inclusive, supportive, and empowering environment for all.
