LG’s address is a love letter from NC to BJP: Sajad Lone

“Message of pain endured by people of J&K in 2019 missing from speech”
Srinagar: Peoples Conference MLA Sajad Gani Lone on Thursday described LG’s address as a “love letter” from the National Conference (NC) to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from the J&K Assembly.
During discussions on the Motion of Thanks on the LG’s address, Lone, as per news agency—Kashmir New Observer (KNO), stated that the LG’s address appears to be a love letter from the NC to the BJP.
“You have sent many love letters to the BJP, and this one is from the Assembly,” Lone remarked.
Reading out from NC’s manifesto, Lone heavily criticized the ruling party for not mentioning Article 370, Article 35A, the Public Safety Act, the release of political prisoners and the termination of employees, in the LG’s address.
“It (LG) should have been a medley of aspirations and grievances, but the aspiration part is missing,” he said.
Lone said the LG’s address is a “blatant betrayal” with the people of J&K and a move to normalize the changes made on August 5, 2019.
He emphasized that the message of pain endured by the people of Jammu & Kashmir in 2019 is missing from the LG’s address.
Lone also slammed the BJP over remarks made by its leader Sunil Sharma on the martyrs of July 13, 1931, stating, and “Nobody has the right to denigrate what is sacred to us,” he said—(KNO)
