DC Ganderbal reviews progress under PM Surya Ghar (Muft Bijli Yojana)

Ganderbal: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore, today chaired a meeting to review the progress achieved under PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana in the district.
During the meeting, the DC took a comprehensive review of the installation of rooftop solar systems across all electrical sub-divisions in Ganderbal.
He highlighted the numerous benefits of the initiative and urged the KPDCL officials to intensify their public awareness efforts regarding the advantages of installing rooftop solar plants.
Stressing the importance of mass outreach, the DC directed officials to launch an extensive awareness campaign to educate the public about the scheme’s financial and environmental benefits. He also emphasized the need for speedy implementation to ensure that residents fully utilize the scheme’s benefits.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Gulzar Ahmad; Superintending Engineer KPDCL, Chief Planning Officer, Executive Engineer KPDCL, AEEs, and other concerned officials.
